Veil
VEIL is the first piece of the panther triptych Veil- Pulse- Unbound.
Veil invites us to peel back the layers of our identity through introspective discovery, using a spiral to symbolize the deep dive into our innermost selves.Even if the change is subconscious, introspection allows one to become aware of it.
This triptych is a study of fluid identity. The black panther - rare, elusive, and deeply intuitive, becomes a metaphor for the parts of the self that live beneath the surface. Each panel offers a different encounter with this inner presence: shifting angles, layered beadwork, and symbolic forms like the spiral (continuous evolution), the trident (inner strength), and the bindu (the still point within). Rather than a narrative of one creature, the three works create a multiplicity of selves- the selves we show, the ones we hide, and the ones that are still emerging.
