Self Devotion turns the gaze inward. Rather than depicting blind surrender, the work presents devotion as a state of presence - a conscious turning toward the self, where impulse is met with acceptance and reflection rather than acted upon unconsciously.

The orange teeka, inspired by the colour traditionally associated with Hanuman, marks devotion as inner strength, restraint, and chosen alignment. Here, devotion is not outward submission or self-erasure, but an act of returning to oneself with awareness and quiet resolve.
